THE 2014 WORLD FLOWBOARDING CHAMPIONSHIPS RETURNS TO THE UAE
We are pleased to announce that the 2014 World Flowboarding Championships (WFC) will be returning to the UAE for the second consecutive year. YAS Waterworld, Abu Dhabi will once again be hosting the best flowboarders from around the world from November 6th – 8th, 2014. Yas Waterworld has partnered up with LAZCO management and FLOW (Flowboarding League Of the World) for this year’s event and will be working together very hard behind the scenes to deliver yet another successful event.
“I am very excited to once again be working in partnership with Ryan Watkins and Yas Waterworld. We are going to deliver a bigger and better event than ever before” Said LAZCO director Greg Lazarus.
Ryan Watkins, Marketing Director at Yas Waterworld has once again stepped up to the plate and delivered. Acquiring the support of sponsors such as Swatch, Oakley, GoPro and Crowne Plaza, this event will no doubt be a spectacle not to miss. Each year the event organizers make every effort to produce a bigger and better event, and this year is no different. Apart from the FlowBarrel event, the 2014 schedule will include a WFC event on the FlowRider. This event will showcase riders from around the globe, across all disciplines, which is something that hasn’t been done since 2010. “This is an awesome opportunity to showcase the sport of flowboarding on both the FlowRider and FlowBarrel, we are excited to have the opportunity to bring the WFC events together once again and feature the world best riders.” explained Adam Muller, FLOW Events and Sport Marketing Coordinator.
Another unique focal point of this event is that it will crown both team and individual champions. Being an international competition riders and teams will be flying in from USA, South Africa, Chile, Singapore, Spain and Europe. The thrill and awe of riders going upside down on the FlowBarrel is complimented by the skills and technical tricks of the riders on the FlowRider. Showcasing the sport of Flowboarding across such a diverse platform will keep the crowd on their feet and amazed.
