New Wave Alert: Soaky Mountain Waterpark

If you’ve never had a reason to go to Sevierville, Tennessee before, there is at least one new reason now – Soaky Mountain Waterpark! This park is not only excellent, but it’s the newest member of the Flow Family with their brand new FlowRider® Double. The whole park is in full motion as of this past weekend.

Our North American Licensee and partners, Aquatic Development Group (ADG), designed and built this beautiful 50-acre park in close-to record time; they broke ground just last year! This $90 million project produced a masterfully laid out park with a dozen attractions. ADG’s WaveTek® technology is in use for two attractions – a 35,000 square foot wave pool and a Tidal River® spanning over 24,000 square feet. The latter can actually create a roller wave that travels the entire length of the river. Check out this video to see what we are talking about! The more waves the better! For the kids, there is a super interactive area called The Hive with sprinklers and a wet jungle gym. For the thrill-seekers there is a 5-person raft ride called Blue Mountain Mayhem, a 2-person “watercoaster” called Avalaunch, side by side vertical drop slides called WHOOP! and HOLLER!, and a 4-lane racing slide. Some breezy cabana areas are strewn about as well for those that just want to chill.

Quick Fun Facts: This is the only waterpark in the US to open in 2020 and it is a sister waterpark to Wilderness at the Smokies located 0.4 miles away (where you’ll find another FlowRider Double!)

The FlowRider will appeal to all ages and as long as patrons are tall enough, well, surf’s up! The FlowRider allows patrons to combine thrill and skill when they spend a day at a waterpark. This is what makes FlowRiders a great addition to an attraction mix at any park. You want to give everyone a solid reason to come back through your gate time and time again!

Welcome to the Flow Family, Soaky Mountain!
