The Catskill Mountains in upstate New York – there is a new reason to visit this part of the country now (aside from one of America’s most gorgeous mountain ranges!) and it’s called The Kartrite Resort and Hotel. Tourism in the area is about to soar even more!
The focal point for us on this property is the $180M,world class waterpark that Aquatic Development Group designed – obviously! It is incredible. It will be open year round. There is something for everyone. And last but not least they have a FlowRider® Double right in the middle of the action!

The waterpark is a full two-acres, is totally indoors and some of the other features are a lazy river, a kids activity pool, and a multi-level play structure and slides. There is a beautiful deck that overlooks the whole park complete with cabanas for all-day relaxation and a bar & grill restaurant are also nearby. To literally top it all off there is a 60,000-sf Texlon transparent roofing system that covers the entire park. The barrel-shaped roof allows sunlight to enter the water park, which will be kept at a steady 84 degrees, year-round. Sounds like ideal flowboarding conditions to us!!What more could people in Upstate New York ask for in the middle of winter?!?!
The hotel itself has 324 guest rooms. Amenities include a bar, a candy store, a coffee shop, four restaurants, a tap room, a family entertainment center with an arcade and indoor ropes course, a conference center, and a spa.
