Jack Carter Pool in Plano – New & Improved!

Since 1981, the Jack Carter public pool has given the families of Plano, Texas a wonderful place to beat the heat.  In September 2013 though, due to general site and water loss issues, the city decided to close Jack Carter for renovations.  It opened up again earlier this month and the $12.5 million renovation has really exceeded this community’s expectations.  For starters, this gathering place is no longer a just a pool.  There’s a lazy river, a tot pool, two huge water slides, a climbing wall and, last but not least, an endless wave pumpin’ from their new FlowRider® Double!

“Of course one of the main features is the FlowRider,” says Robin Reeves,

Plano’s Director of Parks and Rec

All of these amazing amenities are spread across 2.75 acres and can accommodate up to 1,000 guests at a time. The cost to get into Jack Carter Pool is $5 for children and $9 for adults. If you are a true local and have a Plano Parks and Recreation membership, access to this new facility is included.  Aside from this new perk of living in Plano, there is excellent dining, world-class shopping, plenty of entertainment venues, a historic downtown area and a super active arts scene. No wonder 24/7 Wall Street named Plano the third Best Run City in America a couple years ago.

Along with our North American licensee, Aquatic Development Group, we are truly thrilled to add this wonderful facility to the list of places where friends and family can experience the thrill of surfing on a FlowRider.
