Hurricane Alley Waterpark installs a FlowRider® Wave In A Box Double

Surfs up, Texas! Hurricane Alley Waterpark recently installed a FlowRider® Wave In A Box Double attraction. It is the perfect fit to the many slides, Gulf Stream lazy river, Storm Surge wave pool and RipTide poolside bar and grill, that is sure to draw a crowd! The FlowRider simulated wave machine comes with park admission and at Hurricane Alley, it’s kid tested and family approved.

The FlowRider surf machine is a skilled based attraction that keeps guests coming back for more, as they can  constantly improve their abilities to ride the wave, generating endless thrills and lots of fun for participants of all ages. “We are hoping to entice the teenagers and high school kids to frequently visit the park and in addition, there is a large surf community here in Corpus Christi so we know it will be a home run!” Jim Kunau, General Manager stated upon opening the wave.

“The staff at Hurricane Alley is great; they were eager to learn and excited to teach!” Adam Muller, FLOW Events & Sport Marketing coordinator mentioned, as he was onsite to conduct the ride training for lifeguards and other members of the staff. “They all picked it up so fast and were immediately addicted to riding” Muller added.

The venue kicked off their FlowRider Grand Opening weekend (June 28th) with a few special guests to WOW their guests, and showcase the excitement of riding the attraction.  “I was honored to be invited out for the Grand Opening – I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I had, and the hospitality that was extended to me and my family was second to none” exclaimed Xana-Kai Nash, 2X Womens World Champion Pro Flowboarder.  Along with Xana, local riders from the Texas area, Patrick Boyce and Morgan Seabert, made an appearance to ride with the guests and offer up some tips to get everyone stoked on riding,  as the park was packed with people wanting to hop the newest attraction. “It is an awesome addition to our park, whether guests are riding or spectating, it creates excitement and will always have them coming back for more!” explained Justine Green, Aquatics Trainer & Administrator.

Hurricane Alley is pushing their newest ride as they have already conducted several media interviews, launched marketing campaigns and are already looking into dates to host a competition on the wave! This venue is going to be a great destination for flowboarders and all board enthusiasts alike, so be sure to check out their social media pages and know your flow!
