Our FlowRider® Services manager Zak T. and Lead Installer Jeff R. took a trip to Experium Waterpark at Sälen Skistar Resort in Sweden last month to give this FlowRider a little TLC….ok, a lot of TLC!
This FlowRider Double was originally installed in 2009 and has been pumping year-round almost every single day since. Once Zak and Jeff arrived onsite, it was obvious that the resort’s guests LOVE the FlowRider; with a ton of use, comes wear and tear.
“Having a year-round, indoor waterpark makes is easy for families to decide to stay or re-book with us,” says Anton Lillsund, Experium Waterpark’s Onsite Technician, “and the FlowRider is the busiest area of the park, so now that it’s practically brand new again, we are extra excited for the summer season.” Lillsund was around the whole week with Zak and Jeff while they worked to make this ride shine again. They replaced the ride surface, the proprietary nozzle flaps, the matting in the front and rear walking areas and also applied new foam and vinyl to the entire wave. Look for yourself – doesn’t it look great!?
Waterparks with a FlowRider (or resorts with a waterpark in this case) reap the benefits of appealing to the teen market, achieving higher sales in nearby food and beverage, the chance to offer season passes just to ride the FlowRider and also the opportunity to market and sell private bookings after hours (i.e. corporate bookings or birthday parties). Lillsund and the rest of staff at Experium Waterpark at Sälen Skistar are ready for their summertime guests and before they know it the skiers and boarders will be heading in from the mountains to shred on the FlowRider too!
