Surfing in Arizona? Not likely, unless you attended the Oro Valley X-games this summer!
On April 23rd The Pusch Ridge Christian Academy in Tucson, Arizona hosted a school fundraiser where attendees of all ages enjoyed games, a food truck food court, live entertainment and a multitude of great raffle prizes. The main attraction though was the inflatable FlowRider® Mobile surf machine.
“The Oro Valley X-games was a great fundraiser for the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy and much fun was had by all!” mentioned Sean Silveira (5x World Flowboarding Champion and ride operator). With over a thousand people on campus, some just came to watch, listen to music and/or eat, but many brave souls participated in the extreme X-Games attractions. They survived a 40-foot plunge on the Death Drop, 300 feet of zip line, euro-bungee trampoline flips and flops, a treacherous rock climbing wall and the big kahuna of them all . . . the FlowRider!
The FlowRider wave simulator was a huge hit at the X-games, the line was never ending and kept participants of all ages and skill levels coming back for more. Just check out this video to see how much fun everyone was having!
“We had a great event!” explained Merissa Fazio, Event coordinator. “We were so blessed to have so many fun events in one place. It was especially exciting because FlowRider had never been to the Tucson area until now and we got to be the first to host it at the Oro Valley X-Games!” Merissa added.
