In the early 2000’s, Royal Caribbean International asked the question “What can we do to improve family bookings?” We all know that the key to family vacations is the hard to please teenager. In 2006, Freedom of The Seas was launched with the first onboard FlowRider Double. A dramatic increase in family bookings followed.
Fast forward to 2026. 20 years later and there are 25 FlowRiders on board 22 ships with more to come in progress. From Freedom class to OASIS class, Quantum class to the now iconic ICON class, RCI found their answer. And, we couldn’t be happier with their solution!
