There is now at least 1 FlowRider® attraction in 38 of the 50 United States! Oklahoma is the latest on the list. The new home of this recent FlowRider is at Riversport Adventures in what OKC locals know as the Boathouse District. It’s right in the heart of the city center. This cool, water sports-centered complex is not new to locals; it’s long been known for rowing, canoeing and kayaking. The addition of the FlowRider though takes it a few giant steps towards being an extra great place for the whole family to hang out.
Not that Riversport isn’t already jam-packed full of activities! Riversport offers Whitewater rafting & kayaking, a Sky Trail, a zip line, flat water kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, a bike park, tubing, high-speed slides, an inflatable slip ‘n’ slide obstacle course, an extreme kids zone with an extreme air jumper, climbing walls, and dragon boating! We are tired out just reading that list; sounds really dang fun though, huh?!
After our North American Licensee, Aquatic Development Group, commissioned their wave, Rob Chalfant, our Materials and Operations Manger that moonlights as a FlowRider Staff trainer, went to Surf OKC to get their team of Wave Operators off on the right foot. The staff is pumped and did a great job learning about how to maintain the wave, ride the wave and how to teach people how to ride the wave. Rob even had some extra time to teach a few of the operator some tricks.
