Case studies

Wherever you're building, there's a venue out there that's already proven it works.

A large glass-covered indoor water park featuring colorful FlowSurf water slides is situated beside a calm pond, reflecting the building and slides at sunset.

Proof is in the Water

FlowRider turns a public investment into an economic engine.

Epic Waters
Proving a FlowRider can anchor a municipal water park into the center of an entire entertainment district.

It’s a testament to what a water park can do in a municipal setting, to be a true catalyst for economic development,” says Justin Brown, Executive VP of Development at American Resort Management.

Revenue Generators

Every guest touchpoint generates revenue. The wave anchors both daily traffic and the district built around it.

What This Looks Like in Practice

Site Considerations

Focus
Placed front and center, just past the entrance and adjacent to the bar, visible the moment guests walk in and built to operate independently of the rest of the park for private rentals and after-hours bookings.

Operating Considerations

The broader campus, including restaurants, an entertainment venue, and a water and light show, drew more than two million visits in 2024. More than one million square feet of retail development followed the park's opening. FlowPalooza, which began as a small FlowTour competition stop, now draws 6,000 to 7,000 people annually. After eight years, the FlowRider Double completed its first full refurbishment, giving long-term capital planning a predictable cycle to point to.
