We have been long awaiting the opening of Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark – it’s here! The world class waterpark is actually going into its 4th week of operation this weekend and things are going, well, swimmingly.
The 80,000 square foot waterpark is just one part of a huge development called EpicCentral Grand Prairie. The list of incredibly cool things that EpicCentral offers the community is too long to list here, but check it out when you have time! The waterpark offers year-round water fun with 11 cool water slides (including 1 Constrictor + Boomerango fusion slide and an AquaSphere from WhiteWater West, we might add!), a lazy river, an activity pool, a separate children’s pool area, an outdoor Wave Pool, a massive retractable roof from OpenAire and of course a brand new FlowRider® Double. Epic Waters will have hours of year-round entertainment for all to enjoy, rain or shine!
“This whole project has been underway for such a long time, the excitement level of the staff we trained was off the charts. I mean, these people were so pumped – so ready to hop on and learn,” said Rob Chalfant, Materials and Ops Manager, right when he got back from staff training in December. Rob & Zak, two of our most experienced people here at FlowRider, both went out there to train the staff and to make one last check on the FlowRider before it opened to the public. They had 2 full days to make sure not only their on-ride (i.e. lifeguards) were up to speed, but also the lead engineer and maintenance crew as well.
