Gaylord Palms Majorly Renovates: FlowRider, AquaPlay & Champagne Bowl Added!

Gaylord Palms Resort and Conference Center in Orlando, FL went through a grand renovation recently.  The property actually split up the massive improvement effort into two phases.  The 2nd phase included a brand new waterpark with FlowRider, Inc.’s most popular attraction, the FlowRider® Double surf simulator, a Champagne Bowl waterslide and an AquaPlay.  The management team must be made up of some smart people – people that understand the teen draw that an on-property FlowRider can create, the cool factor of a world-class waterslide and also how the AquaPlay provides super fun interactive water play for the youngest members of the family.

The official name of the property’s FlowRider area is The Wake Zone.  All summer long they are holding a host of events bundled into what they call SummerFest.  Rock ‘n’ Surf is specific to the The Wake Zone; it includes live music near the wave while guests ride or flow down the nearby waterslide!  Guests are sure to stay on property and have a blast.

Revenue has already been and will continue to be attributed to the FlowRider.  A solid stream of revenue flowed in during the first week of  May when Gaylord had their first FLOW Tour event & it was a hit!

Visible from the FlowRider is the AquaPlay by WhiteWater West.  This structure gives kids and parents the chance to stay cool and have fun together.  The safety factor is of course of utmost importance, so sight lines are clear for all members of the family to see each other while playing.
