Born in Coronado, CA Marsh grew up playing every sport, but when he pulled into his first “barrel,” everything else went out the window. A SDSU alum, Marsh has worked in the sports industry most of his life. Having surfed with Tom Lochtefeld countless early, frigid dawn patrols, Tom finally convinced him in 2007 to help lead the team. Proud father, grandfather, husband, loves all sports and photography. Lives by the mantra of “work hard, play hard.” Has one hero – “Dad – honest, honorable, ethical, and moral.”
Born in Durban, South Africa, Andrew Thatcher has been with the company since 2000. He studied Marketing in his home country and moved to San Diego in 2000 where he joined the FlowRider team almost immediately. With experience in ride installs and drafting he joined the sales team in 2003, and is our Flow House crusader. His passions are his family, craft beer, surfing and fishing – buy a wave from Andrew and you may find yourself hunting BIG tuna!!
Born on Terra Firma, Till Paris spent his youth surfing flawless Hawaiian waves and playing slack key guitar. With an affinity for tech and an advanced understanding of online marketing, Till launched Dream Team Media based upon key online software he developed. Some of Till’s client’s include Marriott, Embassy Suites, Diamond Resorts, Steve Vai, Discovery Channel, Sprint, and he joined the FlowRider team in 2012 as Director of Web Marketing & Dev. All tech aside, Till is found composing music for Television, film and studio albums as well as surfing his favorite breaks.
Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Rob has been surfing for a “long time.” He has been involved in action sports retail his whole life and flowboarding for the last 8 years. Rob handles all materials and operations for new installations as well as all after sales support projects. He somehow finds time to assist in the coordination of FLOW Tour events and acts as a judge at most competitions. Father of two surf-addicted boys, Rob enjoys surfing, volleyball, snowboarding, travel, San Diego sports teams, and teaching people to flowboard!
Born in Derbyshire in the UK and now is based in Rugby Warwickshire,
Simon has worked in the Waterpark industry for over 20 years and has been with selling FlowRider’s for 6+ years. He is a partner in 2 Flow Houses in the UK and with experience in design, installation, operations, also manages the movement of the FlowRider Mobile in Europe.
When not working he is a mature rugby player, criticizes American football and is endurance cyclist.
From India, Vishal has been in the USA for 6 years. With a BS in Automotive Technology (Central Missouri), his parents insisted he get a Masters in Industrial Technology (smart parents). Taking chances is his mantra, and he ended up in San Diego (and who wouldn’t want to be here). Other choices include adventure touring at over 18,500 ft, racing fast and stunt riding – his daily adrenaline dose matches the rest of us here! On his list now is learning to surf, becoming a master flowboarder, putting a smile on the face of others and cooking the self proclaimed “best chicken curry on the planet.”
Adam is an energetic Floridian (yes, we even hire those) with an extensive background in competitive surfing and sports. A graduate of Flagler College with a Sports Marketing degree, Adam has directed surf camps, executed sporting events and managed the Fantasy Surf Flowrider venue in Orlando, FL. He found his way west to further promote the sport of flowboarding, surf his brains out, and help grow the FLOW Tour as Tour Coordinator. In his free time, Adam is surfing, playing Spike Ball with friends or just kicking back to some good tunes!
Originating from San Diego, Brad left at a young age for the beautiful beaches of New Jersey and has finally ventured back to his native land to become part of the FlowRider team. After graduating from the University of Delaware (that small state next to Maryland) with an engineering degree, Brad embarked upon a design-oriented career which began with case goods and store fixtures, then led to designing 150’ tall cell phone towers. The next logical step in his career would obviously be designing wave machines. When he’s not rocking out 3D models Brad enjoys playing inline hockey, going to the gym, running, and last but not least—attempting to surf.
Jo was born in California, has three older siblings and played almost every sport under sun growing up. She soon focused on volleyball, played (and studied Marketing) at Fairfield University and then competed professionally in France for a season. Her experience stems from producing photo shoots, sales and marketing in the athletic apparel industry and leading international surf & yoga camps! As much as possible, Jo makes sure she is outside surfing, snowboarding, playing golf, swimming, walking, running – the list goes on! She also won’t say no to trying one of the 1,543 craft brewing tasting rooms here in sunny San Diego!
Born in Michigan, Alex moved to San Diego in the fall of 2006 and not too long after, met his wife and bought his dream house. Alex has a background in warehouse and inventory management and logistics. During his free time he loves to go camping, play softball, practice drumming, and of course spend time at the beach. Another thing he loves doing here in sunny Southern California (when he’s not flowboarding at Wave House San Diego, of course) is taking his wife to wineries. He also enjoys country music and he will never say no to going to a concert!
Raman is originally from India, but has spent the last 8 years living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He recently moved to San Diego with his California-native wife to become part of the FlowRider team and to be closer to the beach of course! After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Mechanical Engineering degree, Raman worked in a few different industries as a Design Engineer. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, tennis, soccer, skiing, and basically anything else that gets him outdoors (to be added to that list soon: surfing and flowboarding)!
Born on St. Thomas of the United States Virgin Islands, then later moving to San Diego, CA, Jeremy grew up surrounded by beach culture and water sports. He then attended Cal Poly SLO as a mechanical engineer major, with heavy interest in attraction design and manufacturing. Since graduating, Jeremy has now found his way back to San Diego and couldn’t be happier. With his free time, he enjoys music, backpacking, craft beers, bike riding, sailing, and traveling. Someday, Jeremy also hopes to visit every US National Park. Jeremy is very excited about joining the FlowRider team and can’t wait to get better at flowboarding!
